Halloween soap slime

We all love a bit of good clean fun and why not extend that into the Halloween holiday with some fun soap slime with lots of scary creepy crawlies for your little darlings to enjoy in the tub and encourage them to wash and get clean.  This is a great soapylove recipe and is so easy to do and doesn't take many ingredients you can let your little ones make it.

All you need is a tube of shower gel and some gelatine and water and of course some toy bugs.
First of all take one sachet of powdered gelatine and mix this with 3/4 of a cup of hot water.
As i am a soap maker Sophie and I opted to make our own colour and fragrances slime but you can either  if you  want to make your own coloured and scented slime by use some essential oils and a bit of food colouring, but you really can just buy a ready coloured and scented shower gel and they come in lots of wonderful colours and scents.
Once all your gelatine in mixed in to the water add your tube of shower gel ours measured 250ml and gave us half a big kilners jar of soap.
Next add your spiders, bugs and monsters to your pot ready for a scary wash later, these will be fun to find and play with in the tub.
Add your liquid mix to the jar and cover up and hide all those scary critters in the jar and put into the fridge to chill and set for a few hours. Later at bath time enjoy squishy slimy scary soap and have nice clean kids and maybe a few spiders in the bath.

  1. Fab idea - we have a hoard of insects who have "tea parties" (!!!) in the bath every night so this would be a lovely variation :-)
