Lakeland Crepe Pan and Citrus spray review

Pancake day is upon us and we really love pancakes/crepes in our house, i must confess we do eat them all year round and not just on pancake day so i was over the moon to be given this nifty Cololurful Ceramica Crepe pan from Lakeland retailing at £19.99 and what every crepe chef should have in their kitchen.

Not only is the pan remarkably thin and has a perfect sized crepe base that is made out of cast aluminium, which is really great as it gave the crepes a even cook. My husband loves really thin crepes and trying to do thin in a deep set frying pan makes it hard to judge the thickness, but in the slim design you can judge with ease the thinness of your crepe.  So after Sophie mixed up a batch of batter we made our first crepe.

Another great feature about the pan was the non stick ability as it has two layers of Ecolon ceramic base coating the inside and outside and the crepes almost floated above the pan while cooking. The lip at the edge of the pan was a great help when it came to the all important toss in the air the crepes flew into the air with ease before i caught it again to my cheering toddler, the lip came into its own again when transferring the crepe to the plate as it slide perfectly to a hungry and eager Sophie.   The pan is dishwasher safe too and can work on both gas, solid plate and electric hobs.

Not only did we get the Crepe pan but this Citrus spray.
I saw this new item Citrus spray on Lakeland retailing at £9.99 and thought it looked ingenious and wondered how and if it worked.  My fridge always has a half cut lemon in it and its completely pointless as by the time i need it again its dried up and its final destination is the bin.   So i was really happy when Lakeland asked if i would try this for Pancake day.
Not only was this neat gadget so easy to use but it really worked and i genuinely said a wow when it sprayed out shots of juicy lemon all over our pancakes.  As you can see from the simple design all you need to do is cut the tip off the lemon and then insert the screw part into the lemon releasing all that juice and then pump away to your hearts content,  squish the lemon if you feel its running out and release more juice and pump again, it comes with a little dish to stop your lemon rolling away when you want to store this in the fridge and there will be no more half dried out lemons in my fridge anymore.  You don't need to just spray only pancakes but this will work for salads, drinks, fish and meat, You also don't need to save it just for lemons as any citrus fruit will work just as well.
